If Gallery or other program which use Image Magick is not working
properly place a blank file named php.ini
in the same folder as gallery.
Some programs such as gallery may require you
to put a php directives in the php.ini file to overide our system.
For example:
enable_example = example
In the directory where
gallery is installed either create/modify a php.ini file with the
following inside:
enable_functions = exec

If your website has recently been moved to a
new server or upgraded here are some possible issues and resolutions:
1. New server runs php in a jailed environment which cannot be turned off, but
its not the same as safe mode, basically if your running .htaccess files with
php directives in them, rename the .htaccess file to: php.ini
2. Sometimes email accounts become corrupted from move, if you have an email
problem from move its from two reasons.
a. Corruption from move: Solution remove email account from cpanel on new server
and renew.
b. Your ISP is caching the IP of the old server, Solution: wait up to 48 hours.
3. Mailing lists don't transfer, we can however copy them individually but would
prefer if you had a mailing list to set that up on new server to remove an
possibility of errors.
4. SSL certificates don't transfer and have to be setup by us again and you will
need to have a new CRT generated by the SSL provider.
5. Horde Webmail address book does not copy across, download any address books
from your webmail and save to your computer, then re-upload to the new server.
6. Subdomains: If any of your subdomains do not work, please login to the
Cpanel of your new server and remove the subdomain from the Subdomain adder, and
then put it back, this will update the dns for the subdomain and will not affect
the subdomain files in your account.
Otherwise as your account resolves to the new server all files and databases
should be 100% in place, if you have any issues please don't hesitate to contact
us, we have full double backups of your account on the old server.

Comcast et
al related DNS blocking and resolving issues - Beginning on the
morning of 12-20-04 clients using Comcast and related ISPs began to be unable to
"get to their sites" on the Digitalhost (and other) networks. Many clients have
sent tracerts and pings but they have all shown the packets getting through.
Further investigation has revealed that in all cases (that clients have
responded to us) the client has been able to ping, tracert, and get to their
site(s) and control panels via IP but not via domain names. Our clients have
been calling Comcast and Comcast has been saying there is no issue, they ping
and tracert and say everything is fine. We have called Comcast and they only
have level1 technicians available but they did confirm now that throughout their
entire network they are now getting flooded with calls about this issue. They
have told us that Tuesday morning they will have level2 technicians working on
the issue and will update us. We suspect they have applied port 53
filtration/blocking on parts of their network, possibly to filter out a DDOs
they may have been receiving or similar. In any event, many Comcast and related
ISP customers will continue to have problems until they can get it resolved.
Customers need to call Comcast and not Digitalhost as there is nothing that
Digitalhost can do from this end. If anyone gets any updates from Comcast please
let us know. UPDATE: One client spent 2 hrs on the phone with Comcast. The
Comcast rep was able to get to the clients sites but the client was not. The
client requested new DNS servers and was given them and then the client was able
to get to his sites - It appears it is not a routing issue with Comcast but
rather a problem with the dns servers that Comcast provides to its customers.
Here are the working DNS servers that Comcast gave the client 68.87.66.196
68.87.64.197 It would be a good idea to have your clients switch their personal
computers to the above two DNS servers or to have them use your servers IP for
their resolver.
