Periodically login to your server via SSH and choose an hour or day when your backups are not running.
Go to your backup drive and move/rename the daily backup folder to yesterday.
Next time your backups run you will have a clean fresh copy of only the accounts on your server.
* ensure you have the room on your backup drive for the extra folder
* after the backups have run you can safely remove the yesterday folder
* if you have removed accounts from your server and you wish to keep backups of all those removed accounts you may not wish to follow the above information, or you can put removed accounts into a specially named folder for safe keeping.
* one reason I advise this action is if you ever have to do a complete server restore you will only be restoring the accounts which are active, sometimes old accounts have been removed from your server, then a new client sets up a new account with the same username of one of your old removed accounts, upon restore you will have a username conflict and one of your accounts may not restore without altering its username.
