Not being able to send emails really is only caused by four things ( now five )

1. Not having the full email address in the box if it pops up asking for password.

Correct by putting full emailaddress@yourdomain.com in the box.

2. Incorrect password

Correct by logging into your cpanel and go to Mail / Add Remove Manage email accounts and reset your password.

3. Incorrect Authentication Settings in Outlook express.

Correct by

Tools / Accounts / Properties / Server

And under the servers Menu should not have

Login Using Password Authentication, SHOULD NOT BE CHECKED

But check this one instead: My Server Requires Authentication SHOULD BE CHECKED.

3.b. Also do test with 'My Server Requires Authentication' UNCHECED as well.

4. Your ISP blocking port 25

Correct by

Tools / Accounts / Properties / Advanced

change the outgoing port number from 25 to 26

5. Your ISP is on a Spam Blocking list.

Correct by: letting us know your ISP's hostname ( for example optus.net or cox.net ) and we will whitelist them for you.

If your an Microsoft Outlook user you can check the settings above for correct Username and Password also the POP3 and SMTP settings.

First you will need to load up Microsoft Outlook once the program has finished loading do the following

Tools -> Email Accounts -> View or change existing email accounts -> Next -> Double click on the Name of the account you want to change or click once then click on Change

Once you are there look for the Incoming mail server (POP3), Outgoing mail server (SMTP), Username, Password fields.

They should be in the Accounts Settings Box that pops up.

Next make sure you have the following settings entered.

POP3: mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP: mail.yourdomain.com
Username: username@yourdomain.com
Password: The one you used when setting up the account
Remember password: Ticked

To change the Port Numbers as above to port 26 do the following.

Click on the More Settings box then click on the Advanced Tab. Look for the Outgoing server (SMTP) box and enter 26.

Once complete click on the OK button to save the settings followed by Close and Finish.

You can test the settings out by clicking on the Test Account Settings button and if you get all green ticks and no errors all should be fine. To make sure click on Close then Next then Finish and click on Send/Receive

You should recieve an email saying Microsoft Office Outlook Test Message if you get the email you are set and ready to go.
