digitalhost provides the tools to do this.

1. Login to your Cpanel http://www.yourwebsite.com/cpanel (http://www.yourwebsite.com/cpanel) ( replace your website.com with the name of your website, your domain name.

2. Click the Icon 'MAIL'

3. Click the Link 'Spam Assassin'

4. Click the Box Link 'Enable Spam Assassin' then [ Go Back ]

5. Click the Box Link ' Configure Spam Assassin ( required to rewrite subjects )

6. On that page you can Whitelist ( means accept emails from certain friends or senders ) or Blacklist ( which means those senders whose email address you blacklist will not be able to send you emails. )

But go to the line which says required_score

Now that number represents the level you want the program Spam Assassin to use as a value to either mark an email as spam or not.
( Personally I now have mine set at 2 , but if you do not have all your friends whitelisted for now you might make it 8 or 10 , you can login and adjust this number at anytime.

7. When finished Scroll to the bottom of the page and 'SAVE'

8. Next Click [ Go Back ] and then again [ Go Back ]

9. From the menu choose 'E-mail Filtering'

10. Choose [ Add Filter ]

11. From the Menu 'Filter' Drop Down List which currently says 'Subject' choose 'Body' and from the next Menu Drop Down List which currently says
'that' 'contains' leave that setting as 'contains' in the next empty box type or paste these words only

Spam detection software

For the Destination Box I leave it as 'Discard' which means Deleted, gone for ever, never can get that deleted email back again never.

12. Click the box 'Activate'

13. Logout of Cpanel.

That is it, your spam will decrease, as you build a whitelist of friends and regular email senders you might decrease the REWRITE rule number from 8 or 10 down to 2 or even 1.

* Disclaimer those settings may cause you to lose legitimate emails from legitimate senders, if you follow the above instructions your accepting the fact you may lose emails sent to you and digitalhost cannot retrieve them for you under any circumstances.
