Here is how you can easily change how folders will be viewed on your Website
Login to your CPanel https://www.yourdomain.com/cpanel (yourdomain.com meaning your website address) and scrolling down till you see the words Index Manager.
Next when the page loads. Click on the Name of the folder or the Folder icon and wait for the next page to load.
Next once you have done this choose one of the following.
Default System Setting - No one can view the contents in that folder
No Indexes - This will set the system to not use an index at all and in most cases will return a forbidden error to users trying to access them.
Standard Indexing (text only) – This will use the standard format of indexing and will not display any images at all.
Fancy Indexing (graphics) – This will allow users to view the entire directory of which your files are placed.
If you do not want anyone viewing your files leave it as is as it is set to Default System Settings by default which is set by default.
Choose Fancy Indexing if you wish users to view all files/pages in that directory.
Choose Fancy Indexing (text only) gives the users the ability to view all files/pages in that directory without all the pretty images that show on the left hand side.
Once you know which option to go with click the Save button and refresh the page you were once looking at you should see the folders contents.
That’s it you are done.
