I also seem to be having trouble with gallery. When I login, the username appears again and the main screen doesn't refresh. I have to manually close the login screen and refresh the main screen to see the photos. It also doesn't work in Firefox. I recall having Gallery work in Firefox on my previous server and not having problems with the screen refreshing.
1. just check you don't have any .htaccess files in gallery with php directives in them, if you do rename the .htaccess file to php.ini
2. Settings between different browsers is something we can't control from the server, if it works in Explorer and not in other browsers its difficult for us to fix, plus as browsers are updated different version cause different issues.
Depending on your system try
START
RUN
type in: ipconfig /flushdns
Ok
and see if they helps.
