Spam
Using Outlook express or similar program, here is a great method to dispose of Spam.
Firstly go to your Cpanel http://www.yourwebsite.com/cpanel , enter the MAIL or MAIL MANAGER section
click Spam Assassin
click Enable Spam Assassin
then on your Own computer in your mail program such as Outlook express
click Local Folders, then Right Click your Mouse
click New Folder
Create a new folder and call it something like SPAM click OK
Then Click Tools/Message Rules/Mail
Then Click New Rules/New
Check Message Body Contains Specific Words, Enter the words Spam Detection
Check Move If to A Specific Folder Enter Folder Name SPAM
ok.
how this works is that anything Spam Assassin thinks is SPAM will be sent to you with the words "Spam Detection" in the Message body along with its usual message.
Your email program such as Outlook will detect those words and automatically move those emails to your SPAM folder, periodically you can check that folder to ensure Spam Assassin is not marking any legitimate emails as spam, over a period of time once your comfortable with the process you can set that folder to be emptied automatically on exit from your email program.
